Kansas Legislature Adjourns Without Passing Medicaid Expansion

Kansas lawmakers wrapped up their session over the weekend without resolving one of the biggest issues confronting them – Medicaid expansion. A coalition of Democrats and moderate Republicans attempted to force a decisive vote on expansion by holding the budget hostage.  But those efforts collapsed late Saturday under threats of retaliation from Republican leaders. Jim McLean of the Kansas News Service was there and files this report.
