House Minority Leader Tom Sawyer Previews the Legislative Session

Republican lawmakers in Topeka are working to counter some of the initiatives laid out by the state’s new Democratic governor. They want to return to state taxpayers what they call a “windfall” and stop Medicaid expansion. Also, the top Democrat in the House, Tom Sawyer, tells Jim McLean of the Kansas News Service that Speaker Ron Ryckman is crafting a plan to trim back funding for public schools.
