The new school funding plan in Kansas is similar to the formula that lawmakers discarded two years ago in favor of a block grant system.

We now have some idea what a new Kansas school funding formula will look like; it probably will be a lot like the old one that lawmakers discarded in 2015 in favor of a block grant system. Today (WED) we’ll find out how much money legislative leaders are willing to spend on it. Sam Zeff from the Kansas News Service reports.
