Kansas School Employees Cannot Officially Express Political Opinions

The KASB is reminding employees that they cannot use public resources to endorse or oppose a candidate or political issue
The KASB is reminding employees that they cannot use public resources to endorse or oppose a candidate or political issue

The Kansas Association of School Boards is reminding teachers and other school district employees that their freedom of expression does not end just because they work for a school district but it is limited. Mark Tallman is a spokesman for the KASB.


Tallman says any school employee or school board member with questions about political activity should contact the Kansas Governmental Ethics Commission .
