Yesterday (THUR), staffers for both Mitt Romney and Barack Obama talked about how they developed their strategies for victory. Obama’s national field director, Jeremy Bird, said they tried to make the election a choice between the candidates, not a referendum on President Obama.
That’s Jeremy Bird, with President Barack Obama’s reelection campaign. Deputy campaign manager for Mitt Romney, Katie Gage, said their plan was to highlight the president’s first term, specifically, Obama’s weaknesses.
The 2012 post-election conference continues this (FRI) morning, with a public presentation from 8:30 to 10:00 at the Dole Institute of Politics on the KU campus.
