Kansas Congressman Kevin Yoder will serve on the board of Gallaudet (GAL-uh-det) University. It's the only school in the world where all programs are designed for deaf students. Yoder spoke about his appointment to the board during a visit to the Kansas School for the Deaf in Olathe.
Gallaudet University is located in Washington, D-C. The school is federally funded and some members of the board are selected by leaders in Congress. House Speaker John Boehner (BAY-nur) chose Yoder for the job.
