Schafer)After a week of extremely high temperatures - with heat index readings of 100-plus degrees - the National Weather Service in Topeka says eastern Kansas should enjoy a relatively cooler weekend. With mostly sunny skies expected, highs on Saturday will be in the lower 80s. Sunday's high temperatures will be slightly cooler, around 78. And Sunday night's low will drop to around 58!Next week will bring temps around 80 to 85.
