Kansas Restaurant Industry Struggles to Survive Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

Operating in the shadow of the Kansas Statehouse, the Hanover Pancake House has dished out breakfast to the downtown Topeka crowd for more than 50 years. But not now. Like thousands of dine-in restaurants across the state, its doors are locked.  Jim McLean, of the Kansas News Service, reports that the coronavirus is an existential threat to places where friends gather for coffee and waitresses ask “how do you want those eggs.”
