The Episcopal Diocese of Kansas has elected its first woman bishop. Celia Llopis-Jepsen of the Kansas News Service reports from Topeka.


The Rev. Cathleen Chittenden Bascom, from the Diocese of Iowa, was elected October 19 as the 10th bishop to lead the Episcopal Diocese of Kansas.
