Halfway between Clay Center and Concordia, just off Highway 24, the town of Miltonvale doesn't seem particularly remarkable. At just over 500 people, it isn't what you would call "bustling." But every year, at the end of Summer, this sleepy little town comes to life with a celebration known as...Tootlefest. KPR News intern Taylor Smith, who grew up in the greater Miltonvale area, files this report.
The 58th annual Tootlefest gets underway today (FRI) and runs through Sunday in Miltonvale, which is located less than an hour northeast of Salina.
KPR News Intern Taylor Smith is from Salina. He's a junior at the University of Kansas, where he's studying news and information.
