Poll Shows Kansans Favor Lower Drug Penalties

A majority of Kansas residents support reducing drug possession penalties to reduce the state's prison population.
A majority of Kansas residents support reducing drug possession penalties to reduce the state's prison population.

A large majority of Kansas residents say that the penalties for most nonviolent drug possession crimes should be reduced. Reporter Sam Zeff has more on a survey that will be released later today (TUE).
