KU and K-State Kick Off 2016 College Football Season

Kansas and Kansas State open their non-conference football schedules this weekend. K-State plays tonight on the road against seventh-ranked Stanford. The Kansas Jayhawks are trying to move on from a disastrous season last year. Kansas Public Radio’s Greg Echlin reports.

On the NCAA Division II level, the top-ranked Northwest Missouri Bearcats scored a big win last (THUR) night at 24th ranked Emporia State, the score was a lopsided 41-14. However, Washburn University fared well in its season-opener as the Ichabods beat Northeastern State of Oklahoma, 38-19.

After graduating from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, he worked as a TV sports anchor and a radio sportscaster in Salina, Kansas.
