Weather May Cause Flight Delays During Holidays

Inclement conditions anywhere in the country can cause cancellations
Inclement conditions anywhere in the country can cause cancellations

Winter weather is not causing any trouble at Kansas City International Airport today but, airport officials say,  inclement weather conditions elsewhere in the country can still cause travel delays. Every year, flight cancelations and delays leave thousands of travelers stranded at airports across the country. However, Joe McBride from Kansas City International Airport, says there are several steps you can take to make sure you're not stuck camping out in the terminal.

McBride says that most airlines will waive any re-booking fees for flights that are affected by inclement weather. A massive storm system that hit the nation’s midsection earlier this week forced nearly 900 flights to be canceled, leaving people stuck in terminals across the country.
