WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — A Blue Rapids woman has been indicted with one count of theft of mail by a postal employee. An indictment filed Wednesday alleges 34-year-old Carissa A. Nester embezzled first-class mail and political mail while working at the Marysville Post Office. Court records do not indicate whether she has an attorney. The indictment alleges the thefts occurred in October. The U.S. attorney's office says that if she is convicted, she faces a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000.
