KU, K-State and Wichita State have converged in St. Louis for their respective games. As KPR's Greg Echlin reports, yesterday (THUR) provided the opportunity for a little family time.
The No. 2 seed Kansas Jayhawks take on the 15th-seeded Eastern Kentucky Colonels in a battle that pits a Big 12 bruiser against a scrappy underdog from the Ohio Valley Conference. Tip off is set for just after 3 p.m. today (FRI).
Wichita State goes for the first 35-and-0 start in NCAA men's basketball history on the same court where the top-seeded Shockers won their last three games and were crowned Missouri Valley Conference tournament champions. The Shockers take on 16-seed Cal Poly tonight (FRI). Tip off is expected just after 6 o'clock this (FRI) evening.
And, it will be Wildcats taking on Wildcats when 9th-seeded Kansas State faces 8th-seeded Kentucky tonight (FRI). Tip-off is slated for 8:40 p.m. The winning Wildcat team will play the winner of the Wichita State / Cal Poly game.
