UPDATE: The winter weather advisory has now been cancelled for most of the KPR listening area. It will continue, however, for the Kansas City metro area until 6pm today (MON).
The KPR listening area is bracing for snow and slick roads. A winter weather advisory remains in effect for all of eastern Kansas until 6pm Monday. Snow, mixed with drizzle and light freezing drizzle, is possible, especially during the late morning hours Monday. Total snow and ice accumulations should be in the range of 1 to 2 inches. Gusty south winds up to 25 miles per hour are possible.
In Lawrence, maintenance crews have treated major roadways, intersections and hills, ahead of the wintry mix. For city of Lawrence snow information, visit: http://www.lawrenceks.org/snow
