Across the Midwest, as the population ages, the landscape of farming is subtly changing hands. One group of farmland owners is growing: widows. For example, in Iowa, women over 65 own more than a quarter of the state's farmland. And women landowners frequently face unique social and cultural challenges. In the first of a two-part series on women farmers, Harvest Public Media's Kathleen Masterson reports that women’s advocacy groups are reaching out to make sure this older generation knows its rights.
