Yoder Not Running for Kansas Governor

Kansas Republican Congressman Kevin Yoder says he's running for re-election to the 3rd District seat he's held since 2011. Yoder had been considering a run for governor. But he said in an interview today (FRI) that he wants to keep the congressional seat in Republican hands.

Democrats have targeted the seat as one they could win, and several are competing for the right to challenge Yoder. Retired attorney Andrea Ramsey is one of those potential challengers. She's only been in the race for a couple of weeks, but has already raised more than $200,000, according to a release issued today (FRI) by her campaign.
