Events begin today (FRI) with a performance by traditional Aztec dancers. A citywide celebration of Dia de los Muertos...or the Day of the Dead...is being held in Topeka this weekend and through much of next week. Organizer Christina Valdivia-Alcala says the events are varied, and lots of family-friendly activities are planned.
The street fair will be set up in the 800 and 900 blocks of Northeast Kansas Avenue in Topeka, and runs from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. For more information, visit the Dia de los Muertos Topeka website.
