Sizing Up the Race for U.S. Senate in Kansas

Kansas Republicans find themselves uncharacteristically nervous about holding onto a U.S. Senate seat they’ve had locked down since the Great Depression. They’ll almost surely nominate someone from the conservative wing of the party. But as Jim McLean of the Kansas News Service reports, the candidates are arguing about who’s got the best chance of winning the November general election.

The Kansas News Service is a collaboration of Kansas Public Radio in Lawrence, KCUR in Kansas City, KMUW in Wichita, and High Plains Public Radio in Garden City. Its reporters focus on health, the many factors that influence it, social determinants of health, and their connection to public policy. You can discover more at ksnewsservice.org
