Schools Should Refuse to Live in Fear

In some cases, they've hired armed security guards to patrol the hallways. Commentator John Richard Schrock says it would be a mistake to over-react and create a bunker mentality at schools, which remain among the safest places anywhere.


Commentator John Richard Schrock is a professor of biology education at Emporia State University, where he trains future biology teachers. He's also a regular contributor to KPR's Morning Edition.
