New Cages, Cartons May Bring Changes to Egg Industry

Eggs are simple, versatile... and popular. Americans consume about 250 eggs per person each year. But the poultry business has to grapple with the environmental challenge of caring for the millions of hens that lay all those eggs... and that business is anything but simple. As Harvest Public Media’s Amy Mayer reports, improvements in this vast and diverse industry take time.
