Lawrence Police Seek Help Finding Missing Man

Police in Lawrence say a former University of Kansas student is missing. Police say they were contacted over the weekend about the disappearance of Yelekal Alemu, who is known as “Kal.” The 23-year-old has not been seen since Saturday morning and has failed to show up for important family gatherings. Alemu’s vehicle was located Saturday evening in rural Douglas County, southeast of Lawrence. Police have released these two photographs of the missing man, who now has short hair and a full beard.
