KU, Wichita State Advance to NCAA Men's Sweet 16

In the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, the University of Kansas and Wichita State have reached the "Sweet 16." The WSU Shockers spoiled number-one seed Gonzaga's championship hopes on Saturday, and the Jayhawks met a familiar foe on the court in Kansas City yesterday (SUN). Kansas Public Radio's Greg Echlin has more.

The Jayhawks now head to Arlington, Texas to play the fourth-seeded Michigan Wolverines on Friday evening. WSU Shockers will play LaSalle...the Philadelphia school that eliminated Kansas State last week...at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Thursday night.

In the women's basketball tournament, KU defeated Colorado over the weekend, and will take on South Carolina at 8:30 tonight (MON) in a second round game, which will be televised on ESPN2. The Kansas State women play at home tonight (MON) in a Women's N-I-T game against Illinois State.
