KU, K-State Women Advance in Big 12 Tournament

In the Big 12 women's basketball tournament, Kansas and Kansas State each picked up victories last (FRI) night in Dallas. The seventh-seeded Kansas Jayhawks defeated TCU, 83-61, so they advance to take on number-2 seed Iowa State tonight (SAT) at 6. K-State has a more difficult test today (SAT). After a 51-49 victory over Texas last (FRI) night, the Wildcats are now matched against Baylor at 2 this (SAT) afternoon. The Lady Bears finished 18-0 in the Big 12's regular season. In NCAA Division II play, the top-seeded Washburn Lady Blues play fourth-seeded Emporia State in the M-I-A-A semifinals. Tipoff is at 6 tonight (SAT) in Kansas City.
