Two days after UMBC pulled off the biggest upset in NCAA tournament history, the Kansas State Wildcats beat UMBC to join the Kansas Jayhawks as one of the teams competing in this year’s “Sweet 16”. Greg Echlin has the story.
The Kansas State women's basketball team has also advanced to the Sweet 16 of the WNIT (Women's National Invitational Tournament). The Wildcats defeated Utah 74-57 in Manhattan yesterday (SUN) in the second round of the tournament. K-State will host UC Davis at 7 o'clock Friday night.
