Kansas House to Begin Debate on School Finance Bill

The Kansas House is taking up the issue of school funding this (MON) morning. The Senate is expected to begin discussions on the issue tomorrow. Lawmakers have said they want to finish the school funding issue the end of next week.
The Kansas House is taking up the issue of school funding this (MON) morning. The Senate is expected to begin discussions on the issue tomorrow. Lawmakers have said they want to finish the school funding issue the end of next week.

A bill to increase funding for Kansas public schools is scheduled for debate today (MON) in the Kansas House. Republican leaders say the proposed $500 million increase would be enough to satisfy the Kansas Supreme Court. Jim McLean of the Kansas News Service has details.
