Group Stages Protest at U.S. Senator's District Office

More than 100 members of the activist group Indivisible KC staged a protest today (TUE) at Republican Senator Pat Roberts’s district office in Overland Park.

Roberts wasn’t there. But members of his staff met with a small group of the demonstrators. Leawood resident Paffi Flood says they want Roberts to support the creation of an independent commission to investigate Russian interference in the presidential election.

Roberts says the Senate Intelligence Committee – not an independent commission – should conduct the investigation. Indivisible KC had scheduled a similar demonstration to take place at Republican Senator Jerry Moran’s office this (TUE) afternoon.
