Drought and Heat Pack a Significant Punch Across KS

It's not a new dust bowl, but scorching temperatures and next-to-no rain are causing plenty of problems in western Kansas. Almost two-thirds of the counties in Kansas are now eligible for federal drought disaster assistance. And, Governor Sam Brownback recently asked the U-S Department of Agriculture to expand that disaster zone. As KPR's Eric Durban reports, the dry heat has become quite a challenge for farmers and ranchers.
