Campus Security a Top Priority for Area Universities

University officials in Kansas say campus security is a top priority. According to University of Kansas spokeswoman Jill Jess, KU has several ways to keep students aware of possible safety issues that could affect them:

K-State's Dean of Students, Heather Reed, says her school is also up to speed on the latest campus safety measures.

Officials at Emporia State and Washburn University have similar security measures in place for the coming semester.
