Ask a group of kids to name their favorite Kansas City Royal and Sluggerrr - the team’s mascot - will likely make the list. And why not? Players move around. Sluggerrr doesn’t. He’s been a constant presence since 1996. But who is Sluggerrr? And how did he get to the big leagues? Kansas Public Radio's Jim McLean tells us... and gets an answer to another question everyone asks: what’s it like in that giant lion’s costume on a 90 degree day?
