Kansas Senate Advances Medicaid Expansion Bill

The bill would expand KanCare, the state’s privatized Medicaid program, to cover about 180,000 additional, low-income Kansans.

Kansas lawmakers are now just one step away from passing a Medicaid expansion bill. The Senate – which advanced the measure last (MON) night – is expected to give it final approval later this morning. Jim McLean of the Kansas News Service reports.
