Republican Governor Sam Brownback did an about face yesterday (TUE). He decided to return a $31.5 million federal health reform grant less than six months after agreeing to accept it. We get more on the announcement, which took many by surprise, from Jim McLean of the KHI News Service.
The KHI News Service is a part of the Kansas Health Institute. The institute’s policy and research arm has a contract with the state to monitor and evaluate efforts to integrate a new Medicaid eligibility system with the insurance purchasing exchange.
