KPR Presents Book Club: Great Circle

The KPR Presents Book Club returns! Join host Kaye McIntyre and author Maggie Shipstead for a conversation about her novel, Great Circle, on Sunday, June 26, during KPR Presents.

Marian Graves is a daring aviator determined to be first to fly around the world north-south, over the poles. In 1950, near the end of her historic attempt, she vanishes in Antarctica. Hadley Baxter is a scandal-plagued movie star who sees a career lifeline in a new role: the lost pilot Marian Graves. Ranging from a sinking ocean liner to prohibition-era Montana to the skies of wartime Britain and the soundstages of Modern Hollywood, the fates of two women collide over geographies and centuries in Maggie Shipstead's Great Circle. Shortlisted for the 2021 Booker Prize and the 2022 Women's Prize for Fiction.

This special event will only take place via radio broadcast during KPR Presents, so be sure to tune in to hear Kaye and Maggie Shipstead discuss the book on Sunday, June 26, at 6 p.m.
Happy Reading!
