Capper Foundation's Concert for a Child

Capper Foundation's Concert for a Child

This year’s Concert for a Child will be a FREE community concert on Friday, June 13, featuring the Logan Mize 3-piece Acoustic Show at Evergy Plaza. Logan is a country music artist and songwriter from Clearwater, Kansas. Since 2000, he has released six studio albums. His 2021 single ‘Grew Apart’ was recently certified as his second Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) Gold Record following his breakout hit, ‘Better Off Gone’. He’s logged over 350 million streams and toured across America, Canada, and Europe.

The evening will include food trucks, line dancing lessons, raffles, a Capper Foundation presentation including a video featuring a child receiving therapy services, an opening act performed by Dallas Pryor and the Lazy Wayne Band, and concluding with the Logan Mize 3-piece Acoustic Show as the headliner.

The concert is a benefit for Pediatric Services, including the Children's Abilities Fund (CAF). This fund is a lifeline for families facing overwhelming financial challenges while raising a child with a disability. It assists families in covering the unreimbursed cost of therapy services, such as high insurance deductibles, copays, additional therapy sessions, and other essential services not covered by Medicaid, commercial insurance, or private pay. Additionally, the CAF bridges the funding gap for program expenses that insurance and other funding sources fail to cover. In the last fiscal year, $851,000 was given to financially assist families and cover unreimbursed costs.
