After 125 years in the hands of one local family, the Lawrence Journal-World is being sold to an out-of-state publisher. That news, announced last week, isn't sitting well with some long-time readers, like Guest Commentator David J. Brown.

Guest Commentator David J. Brown is an attorney and longtime reader of the Journal-World. He lives in Lawrence.
