A: Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas (and) Missouri

KOAM-TV, Channel 7, in Pittsburg, Kan., signed on the air in December 1953. The CBS-affiliated station serves the “Four State Area” of southeast Kansas, northeast Oklahoma, northwest Arkansas and southwest Missouri. NBC’s Brian Williams began his broadcasting career at this station, which primarily serves Pittsburg, Kan., and Joplin, Mo. Today, NBC’s main anchor – a man with just 18 college credits to his name – makes an estimated $10 million a year.
