William Burroughs "Storytelling:" TONIGHT!

Next week would have marked the 100th birthday of writer, artist, and Lawrence resident William Burroughs.  If you missed last week's KPR Presents about how the occasion is being marked by the Lawrence Arts Center and other local venues, that program is now archived at this website.  And do join us TONIGHT at 7:00 p.m. for the Lawrence Arts Center "Storytelling" event, featuring first-hand reminiscenses from area residents who knew Burroughs.  If you've got your own memory of an encounter with this influential figure of the Beat Generation, Kansas Public Radio and the Watkins Museum of History will be on hand to record your story!

Kaye starts her weekends the same way you do: with Weekend Edition Saturday, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, This American Life, and To the Best of Our Knowledge. She started at Kansas Public Radio in 2001; in 2006, she became the producer of our weekly public affairs program, KPR Presents. In her spare time, she loves to read, travel, and attend theater.
