Just in time for National Poetry Month, a poetry contest in which you don't even need to write a poem to enter. KPR's Kay McIntyre spoke with Kansas Poet Laureate Eric McHenry to learn more about " Poetry Unites Kansas."

That was Kansas Poet Laureate Eric McHenry, speaking to KPR's Kaye McIntyre, about the poetry contest "Poetry Unites Kansas," in which you don't have to be a poet to enter. Learn more about the program at PoetryUnites.com.

Kaye McIntyre will talk more about the contest, and more about poetry, on KPR Presents, Sunday evening at 7 o'clock.

You can also listen to KPR Presents on KPR-2 Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock.

Kaye starts her weekends the same way you do: with Weekend Edition Saturday, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, This American Life, and To the Best of Our Knowledge. She started at Kansas Public Radio in 2001; in 2006, she became the producer of our weekly public affairs program, KPR Presents. In her spare time, she loves to read, travel, and attend theater.
