Lego: The Art of the Brick

image of Lego: The Art of the BrickThis week we explore the world of those ubiquitous red, yellow, and blue bricks. We'll visit with world-renowned Lego artist Nathan Sawaya, whose sculptures are on display through September 18th at the Mulvane Art Museum at Washburn University in Topeka. We'll also talk to Kansas City writer and Lego enthusiast Jonathan Bender, author of "Lego: A Love Story."

Kaye starts her weekends the same way you do: with Weekend Edition Saturday, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, This American Life, and To the Best of Our Knowledge. She started at Kansas Public Radio in 2001; in 2006, she became the producer of our weekly public affairs program, KPR Presents. In her spare time, she loves to read, travel, and attend theater.
