Fifty years ago, Kansas soldiers joined the 2 million Americans serving in the escalating Vietnam conflict. We share some of their stories in "Kansas Stories of the Vietnam War," an oral history project sponsored by Humanities Kansas, in partnership with the David Woods Kemper Veterans Foundation, the Veterans History Project at the Library of Congress, and the Veterans Voices Writing Project. Did you serve in Vietnam? Did a loved one? Kansas Public Radio encourages you to share your own Vietnam War memories on KPR's Facebook page.

Kaye starts her weekends the same way you do: with Weekend Edition Saturday, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, This American Life, and To the Best of Our Knowledge. She started at Kansas Public Radio in 2001; in 2006, she became the producer of our weekly public affairs program, KPR Presents. In her spare time, she loves to read, travel, and attend theater.
