The Book That Gave Us Shakespeare

February 14, 2016: Shakespeare's First Folio is in Manhattan this month, part of a nationwide tour marking the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death. We'll visit the Folio at Kansas State University's Beach Museum of Art, discover the connection between William Shakespeare and President Abraham Lincoln. Also on this week's show, the 1932 letter hidden in the stones of KSU's Memorial Stadium, and a visit to Washburn University's Mulvane Art Museum and their current exhibit featuring guns and road kill. Finally, we mark Black History Month with "Black Literary Suite: Sports Figures with a Kansas Connection," an exhibit on University of Kansas black athletes with a story to tell.

Kaye starts her weekends the same way you do: with Weekend Edition Saturday, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, This American Life, and To the Best of Our Knowledge. She started at Kansas Public Radio in 2001; in 2006, she became the producer of our weekly public affairs program, KPR Presents. In her spare time, she loves to read, travel, and attend theater.
