Daniel Mangiaracino, Midwest Chamber Ensemble Piano Competition Winner

begins its 3rd season Sunday, Aug. 31, at 7:30 p.m., with a concert at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Prairie Village. They'll perform Beethoven's 7th Symphony, a new work, and the first movement of the Grieg Piano Concerto. The pianist will be 14-year-old Daniel Mangiaracino of Topeka. Steve Lewis, Music Director of the ensemble, brought this talented young musician to our studios today. Daniel dazzled us with his performances of the Liszt Waltz from Gounod's Faust and Carl Vine's Bagatelle No.1. Click on Listen to enjoy the broadcast.
