The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for much of Kansas.  Drizzle, freezing drizzle, freezing rain, and snow are expected today (SAT), with possible accumulation of one to three inches of snow.  Winds of 15-25 mph may cause blowing and drifting of snow.  A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain, sleet, or snow will cause travel difficulties.

This Advisory will remain in effect until 9:00 pm today for the following counties:

Coffey, Dickinson, Douglas, Franklin, Lyon, Jefferson, Johnson, Osage, Shawnee, Wabaunsee, and Wyandotte.

The AP is one of the largest and most trusted sources of independent newsgathering, supplying a steady stream of news to its members, international subscribers and commercial customers. AP is neither privately owned nor government-funded; instead, as a not-for-profit news cooperative owned by its American newspaper and broadcast members, it can maintain its single-minded focus on newsgathering and its commitment to the highest standards of objective, accurate journalism.
