Veterans Day Has Roots in Emporia

Cities across the country are honoring veterans today (FRI) with parades, memorials and free dinners.  But many Americans may not know how the holiday came into existence. Formerly known as Armistice Day, to honor of the end of World War One, it became Veterans Day in 1954 because of the efforts of a shoe repair man from Emporia, Kansas. Reporter Carla Eckels has the story.
