Tax Cut Debate Likely to Continue After Election

The race between Republican Governor Sam Brownback and Democratic challenger Paul Davis will decide who leads the state for the next four years but it won’t put an end to the raging debate over the tax cuts that Brownback championed. The impact of the cuts on state revenues and the budget is expected to dominate the legislative session when lawmakers return to Topeka in January regardless of who is sitting behind the governor’s desk. Jim McLean of the KHI News Service explains.
