State Revenue Estimators Increase Projected Tax Collections

State revenue estimators believe tax collections will keep rising in Kansas. A group of state officials and economists released a new revenue estimate today (FRI). They increased the state’s estimated tax collections through the middle of next year by $250 million. Steve Anderson is Governor Sam Brownback’s budget director. He says the numbers show the state economy continues to grow.

Lawmakers will use the new numbers as they work to finish a state budget. The legislative session continues later this month.
