Dr. Roger Marshall, an obstetrician from Great Bend, defeated Representative Tim Huelskamp in the Republican primary and went on to win the general election to represent the Kansas 1st District.

Congressman-elect Dr. Roger Marshall of the Kansas 1st District says he strongly supports president-elect Trump’s choice for the secretary of Health and Human Services. Dr. Marshall is an obstetrician from Great Bend and says he knows Dr. Tom Price, a fellow physician and a congressman from Georgia. Marshall says Price is an excellent choice for the HHS leadership position.

Price has vowed to immediately begin work on dismantling the Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare, that was passed in 2010. Price has been a long-time member of the House GOP Doctors Caucus, a group that Marshall will join when he takes office next month.
