Lenten Season Invites Us to Turn Away from Indifference

Ash Wednesday, last week, marked the beginning of the Lenten season. For Christians, Lent is a time of fasting, sacrifice and alms-giving that lasts until Easter. During this sacred time of year, Christians are supposed to repent and atone for their sins. Guest Commentator Bob Schremmer, a Catholic priest, says the faithful are also called upon to feed the hungry, provide for the poor and care for the sick.

Guest Commentator, Father Bob Schremmer, is a Catholic priest and the Vicar General of the Dodge City Diocese.
