Lawmakers Demand Transparency in Lansing Prison Project

David Kensinger, Governor Brownback’s former chief of staff, is now working as a lobbyist for prison contractor CoreCivic.

Some Kansas lawmakers are not happy that Governor Sam Brownback’s former chief of staff is now the lobbyist for the company in line up to build a new state prison at Lansing. As Celia Llopis-Jepsen reports for the Kansas News Service, that’s prompting calls for changes in lobbying rules.
